CM Müller – Office community for legal support

CM Müller is an office community of Caroline Müller and Marcel Müller in Efringen churches. We work independently and independently as professional legal supervisors.

We provide legal assistance to persons of legal age who, due to illness or disability, are completely or partially unable to regulate their own legal affairs. The basis of our activity is the appointment by the competent care court.

Depending on the area of responsibility defined by the courts, we support and represent people cared for, for example, public authorities, social services providers, health and nursing funds, insurance companies, institutions and other stakeholders. Among other things, questions about health and care, housing, social benefits, assets and the organisation of suitable assistance can play a role.

Our work focuses on the wishes, rights and personal goals of the person being cared for. We see legal support as support for self-determination: decisions should be understandable and – as far as possible – developed and implemented together with the person being looked after.

Key activities

Legal assistance

We take on professional legal support in accordance with the tasks defined by the supervision court.

These may include in particular:

  • Government affairs and social benefits

  • Health care and matters related to care and rehabilitation

  • Communication with health and nursing funds and insurance companies

  • Housing and home affairs

  • Wealth care and security of financial entitlements

  • Organisation and coordination of appropriate assistance

  • Representation vis-à-vis institutions and service providers

  • Support for complex supply and crisis situations

  • Assistance with personal and health planning

Our care management is based on the legal principles of legal care and in particular on the wishes of the person being looked after. The aim is to maintain and promote self-determination and to provide support only where it is actually necessary.

Legal support does not replace care, therapy, everyday help or general social counselling. Whether and for which areas of responsibility legal support is established, decides the competent care court.
