German Red Cross - Local Association Schopfheim

The DRK Ortsverein Schopfheim looks back on a long and proud history. Already in 1889 the Red Cross was founded in Schopfheim – thus our association is one of the oldest in the district of Lörrach and in the entire state association of the Baden Red Cross.

Since then, people from Schopfheim and the surrounding area have volunteered for the good of the population – with heart, mind and conviction.

Our local association currently has over 1,300 members.
Of these, around 50 active helpers are regularly deployed. Approximately 1,250 sponsoring members support our work financially and ideally – for which we say thank you!

Our priorities are in the following areas:

• Medical services at events

• Emergency relief assistance

• Participation in civil protection

• Social projects, such as blood donation campaigns and senior citizens afternoons

• Work of the Youth Red Cross – First aid, team spirit and social responsibility for children and young people
