Founded in 1914, the local association is the northernmost local association in the district association area and an integral part of the local association life. The local club Todtnau is a small but very active club with numerous Red Cross offers.

Two well-equipped rooms in the guest’s home provide the basis for Red Cross activities in the communities Readiness, Social Work and Youth Red Cross. The mixed readiness currently consists of 17 active members. The priority tasks of the Readiness are Medical services at events of various kinds such as Fasnacht in Todtnau, ultra-bike races and at Todtnauer Städtlifest. Nowadays we can no longer imagine the Helper-on-site group. Especially for this task, the local association has purchased an emergency vehicle. For everything else, the local club has its own crew transport car (MTW) with 9 seats at its disposal. These vehicles are housed in the urban nursing home in specially built garages. Annually three Blood donation actions in the Silberberghalle as well as grassroots training events round off the range of services of readiness.

In the case of social activities, two tasks must be mentioned in particular: Senior gymnastics groups ensure the mobility of senior citizens. It was Sophia Bauer who made the weekly "Lunch table" for seniors." About 35 people participate regularly. They are picked up at home, you meet in an economy, eat together (at particularly senior-friendly prices!) and cultivate socializing.

The Todtnauer Youth Red Cross it currently consists of a group of 12 children. The parent-child meeting is also well received. Here the parents can exchange ideas while the children play with each other and (or) make new social contacts. Furthermore, the local association supervises the school medical service group of the community school Oberes Wiesental in Todtnau and Schönau.
