Hort and Social Group Work After school: space for endless ideas
In our nurseries, 6- to 14-year-old children receive individual care after school and space for an infinite number of ideas. Experienced educators support the children daily in their cognitive, social, cultural and creative development. In the large garden area, the children can play, play sports and be creative. The afternoon program includes artistic and craft activities such as painting, pottery, building huts, forging, cooking and baking, excursions to nature and to museums, sitting by the campfire or providing care for donkeys and hares. In the sense of inclusion, children with special needs (social group work) are integrated into the day-care.

VHS courses Creative in workshops and studios
Since the 1970s, we have been working with the Volkshochschule Lörrach & Steinen to offer artistic and creative courses. Our offers are aimed at children, adolescents and adults who can immerse themselves in the world of art and craft and get to know different materials and techniques. Our broad spectrum includes painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, pottery, forging, metal design, textile design and many other craftsmanships. In addition, we have been offering pedagogical seminars since 2019 to continuously train specialists.

Holiday programme Creating a holiday season
Our holiday programme offers schoolchildren over 6 years of age a wide range of activities – from art and crafts to theatre and circus. Children can be in nature, play, sit by the campfire and make new friends. During all school holidays except Christmas, we offer reliable care all day. There are two offers: The open holiday program with daily changing activities such as cottage construction and creative offers and the VHS offer with artistic and craft courses such as painting, works, pottery, theatre, circus and nature experience.

Daycare centres Attention and appreciation from the beginning
Our daycare centers offer a holistic approach that gives children a sense of security and encourages them to explore the world. We are guided by the pedagogical concepts of Emmi Pikler, Elfriede Hengstenberg, Maria Montessori and Waldorf Education. In the sense of early childhood education, we support child development through nature experiences, creative activities, encounters with animals, music and movement. We operate several facilities in the region, including the KiTa Am Bächle, the nature group Am Maienbühl and the KiGa Sandhopper in Lörrach as well as the KiTa ideanReich in Grenzach-Wyhlen.

Tutti Kiesi Rheinfelden A playground and workshop for everyone
The Tutti Kiesi in Rheinfelden is a play and culture house that gives children space to move, develop and master challenges. With workshops and a large outdoor area, including a hut construction site, children can work creatively in art and crafts as well as experience play and nature. As an institution of the city of Rheinfelden and under our sponsorship, the Spiel- und Kulturhaus offers a wide range of offers such as creative courses, workshops for school classes, holiday programmes, open play and family days, social group work and support at full-day schools.

Youth work Empowering young people and promoting tolerance
We support young people between the ages of 9 and 27 in their development, promote a sense of community and tolerance. In our open youth meetings in Brombach, Tumringen and Hauingen, we offer young people a place where they can meet, play and be creative. We offer them not only a space for social interaction, but also the opportunity to realize their own ideas. In Mobile Youth Work we go directly to the young people, to the places where they stay in the city area, in order to better understand their realities and to provide help if necessary.

Through the educational offer Fit für Schule, a cooperation with the State School Office, we help young people who are absent from school to find their way back to school.

School social work Individual and trusting support
Our socio-educational specialists work continuously at several schools in the district of Lörrach. Our goal is the promotion of children in their individual, social, educational and professional development, the reduction of educational disadvantages as well as the advice and support of parents and teachers in education issues and in the protection of children and young people. Our work is based on the principles of voluntariness and confidentiality and includes counselling, conflict resolution, crisis assistance and preventive and school projects.

School child care services Enriching school life
Full-day schools offer children a place of learning and living where they find an opportunity to be promoted and challenged in their individual strengths and interests. As an extracurricular educational and educational partner, we work at several primary schools in the district. Our goal is to create environments where children can actively participate and explore their world independently, foster friendships and experience social relationships. In different phases of the full day, we support and promote playful and creative activities that contribute to the personal development and orientation of the children.
