The outpatient child and youth hospice service is an offer for families with children and adolescents with life-threatening and shortage of life from the diagnosis. Children and adolescents are also accompanied when a parent is seriously ill.

With the families, the coordinator discusses the possibilities of support and relief, and further assistance may be provided. Voluntary children's hospices are trained according to a nationwide recognised curriculum (theory and internship) and prepared for their task. Children's hospices accompany the parents, the affected children and adolescents, siblings or relatives, depending on the needs of the family, with the aim of achieving a high quality of life for the child/children and their family.

Further information about the service can be found on the homepage www.malteser-kinderhospizdienst-loerrach.de. For families, the outpatient child and youth hospice service is a free offer and independent of their nationality or confession.

The service is financed through donations and funding, a small proportion is refinanced through the health insurance funds. We are a member of the Bundesverband Kinderhospiz e. V., which will take place in the German Hospiz- und Palliativverband e. V. (DHPV).
