The employees of the palliative network Lörrach regard dying as a part of life. But it is not always possible without problems. Often, pain, nausea or anxiety occurs in the last few days or hours. Until now, there was hardly any alternative to the hospital.

The Lörrach palliative network treats and accompanies people with serious and advanced diseases, until the end of their lives both in their familiar environment at home and in the nursing home and hospice.

The individual needs of the patient and their relatives are carefully and comprehensively considered.

Specialist ambulatory palliative care (SAPV) – support at home in case of serious illness

If there is a serious, incurable disease and distressing symptoms such as pain, shortage of air, nausea or great exhaustion occur, those insured by law are entitled to a specialized outpatient palliative care.

The aim is to alleviate complaints and provide care in a familiar environment – at home or in the nursing home.

The care is provided by particularly qualified doctors and nurses. The prerequisite is a medical prescription. The costs are usually covered by the statutory health insurance.
