From kickers to waffles to the Grafitti project: The youth work of Weil am Rhein has something for everyone. But visitors can also just be "there" pool table, table kicker and dart machine. No, we are not talking about a dim corner bar. These amusement equipment belong to the youth houses of the Stadtjugendpflege. During a kicker party, a sprawling round of Monopoly, Playstation games, listening to music, baking pizza, muffins or waffles together, in the workshop together crafts or just chills, young people here can forget everyday life for a few hours. That is not all, however. In addition to the "domestic" activities, the City Youth Care team offers a full programme of sports projects, excursions and holidays, where everyone is sure to find something for their taste. Energy-charged people can let off steam for example at a dance project or at the football tournament between the youth houses Lörrach and Weil am Rhein. A "kids disco" and a Halloween party, for example, were other highlights last year. Excursions to the zoo, the Escape Room to Basel or on a kart track are also always on the program. The alternative: Mobile youth work For those who do not feel like fixed opening hours and the youth houses, the Mobile Youth work makes the offer to plan some actions and provide advisory support. The offer ranges from street social work in the entire urban area to group work and actions such as graffiti projects to individual help such as application training, support during administrative procedures and mediation between the young people and residents or various authorities. There we can be found: Friedlingen, Altweil, Haltingen, Ötlingen and Märkt There are five youth centers and youth spaces scattered across the city area, operated by the City Youth Care. The youth café in Altweil is not a café in the real sense. Here are the offices of Stadtjugendpflege and Mobile Youth Work, where the team can be met in person. The special feature of the youth café is the open kitchen with an integrated bar, which is ideal for joint cooking actions. The "La Loona" in Friedlingen and the "JuKE" (youth and children's facilities) in Haltingen are two youth centers that also offer a wide range of cooking, play and sports opportunities as well as regular excursions, activities and projects. Furthermore, there are the youth rooms in Märkt and Ötlingen. Over the years, all youth houses and youth rooms have developed and established themselves as a focal point for a casual quarter meeting for young people. Does it help with the application letter? The youth agencies also have the function of so-called youth agencies, which are especially there for older visitors. Because the city youth care team advises on the transition from school to profession. The offer includes contact with possible training centres, joint writing of applications and application training. Contact persons can also be found here for other topics and problems, for example if help with administrative procedures or personal advice is needed in all situations. In short: Here young people find support in the transition into adult life. The entire team of the city youth care supports you in the various situations of growing up. We cannot solve all your problems, but we may know contact points that can help you in some things. We help you with administrative procedures (e.g. apply for ID or fiction certificate, request unemployment benefits and even if you have trouble with the police or the court). We try to find a good way together with you. Everything you entrust to us we keep to ourselves, we have a duty of secrecy! Just come by! All urban youth care facilities are open facilities, which means no registration is required. There is no compulsion to participate in activities or actions. The children and young people are involved in the planning and design of the offers. The activities are solely based on their interests. The active participation wants to offer boys and girls the opportunity to develop individually through new experiences. The offers are usually free and non-binding. The employees of Stadtjugendpflege also support their visitors in dealing with everyday life, for example with personal, family or school issues. The City Youth Care team is always happy about new faces and encourages everyone interested to simply come by.
