City Youth Department

The City Youth Department: is the contact person at the city of Lörrach on the topic of youth work (not youth welfare, for this the LRA Lörrach / Department of Youth & Family is responsible) is the contact person at the city of Lörrach for the coordination, clarification of needs, planning, and control of the offers of youth work in Lörrach (open youth work, mobile youth work, association/association youth work, school social work, holiday programs). The aim is to create positive living conditions for children and adolescents - as well as for the actors of youth work in Lörrach. Cooperates mainly with the responsible agencies/institutions of youth work and youth education (e.g. SAK, Kaltenbach Foundation, Stadtjugendring, schools, youth associations/clubs, sports clubs, youth initiatives). Promotes youth participation (§41a Municipal Code), advises young people, youth groups, associations..., takes up ideas and initiatives and supports their implementation. Cooperates with schools in the development of offers of the full-day school. Organizes and promotes children’s and youth programmes and projects, such as open sports activities (night sports, children’s sports Sunday, holiday programmes/holiday pass, summer camp/language learning camp, graffiti projects), as well as educational child and youth protection.Other topics: school social work, school childcare Koop.
