Midwife care in pregnancy and childbirth

We speakEnglish

Advice and support
A midwife is a personal companion of the pregnant woman until after the birth. She is the contact person for all kinds of questions that arise around pregnancy, birth and breastfeeding.

Assistance with complaints
Pregnancy brings a lot with it – sometimes complaints. Midwives help to relieve back pain, varicose veins & Co.

Preparatory action
Midwives, like the gynecologists, offer prenatal care and carry out these in alternation with them. In addition to physical examinations, it is also about promoting the well-being of pregnant women and supporting them in their competence and self-efficacy.

Preparing birth
There are various courses for this:
Women's courses with/without partner evening(s), courses for couples or compact or Weekend pair courses

Planning a Home Birth
A home birth is special – a child is born in a familiar environment. Decision-making and planning for this should be discussed early with a home birth midwife.
