Children's emergency course

A moment of inattentiveness and it has already happened - children always surprise us in everyday life with all possible and impossible situations. The little ones have swallowed or burned their fingers at the stove. At such moments it is important to know how to deal with the situation and keep calm. 

It is a great concern for us to strengthen the awareness of childcare people about preventive action. Through practical exercises and concrete case studies, we would like to take you the fear of doing something wrong and that you will learn to keep calm. The content can vary slightly depending on the interest of the participants and are flexible.

Who is the course for? 
This course is for parents, grandparents, Gotti, Götti, teachers, babysitting and all other children (0-5 years) or want to refresh their knowledge of child emergencies. 

What do you learn in the course?
In this course we learn how to handle children safely in emergency situations. With the following learning goals, we focus on the course:

• Differences between child and adult

• Emergency prevention

• Allg. Measures taken at the emergency site

• Unconsciousness

• Recovery

• Various emergency situations such as:

  • Fever cramp

  • Pseudo-group 

  • Poisoning

  • Dehydration

  • Ingestion of foreign bodies

  • Stories and dives

  • bleeding and wound care

  • Incinerations and incubation

Please bring comfortable clothes. Water and small snacks are also available on site. Please note that revival is also addressed. However, this is not a BLS-AED course. At the end of the course, each participating person receives a handout and a certificate. The course is also conducted without children or babies.

• 1x a month on selected Saturdays

• 09.00 - 13.00 h

• Implementation in the Spital Rheinfelden or in the Spital Laufenburg (please note when registering)
