Sewing and upcycling meeting
The family centre, the diaconic work of the Evangelical Church districts in the district of Lörrach and the multigenerational house Schopfheim have a joint project: an intergenerational sewing and upcycling meeting.
Our goal is that seniors, single persons and families can meet once a month, get in touch with each other while sewing together and help each other improve and upcycling the clothes and give tips. At the same time, sustainability is promoted, as the meeting is intended to stimulate the improvement, repair and upcycling of clothing, instead of buying everything new.
For the projects, please bring the material (substance, matching thread, possible cutting patterns, etc.). A basic equipment for sewing materials and sewing machines is available.
In parallel, there is coffee, tea and water for a small strengthening in between.
ATTENTION: On Thursday there is also a small sewing project directly at the Schopfheim family centre, we sew clothes for babies and children. New dates on request. A registration at Offenertreff@familiezentrum-schopfheim.com is required in advance so that there is sufficient space for sewing and a free sewing machine. Substances and cutting patterns should be brought along. A basic equipment of material is available.
