Confidential or anonymous birth
You are pregnant, but no one should know. They expect a baby – but see no way to care for a child. They will give birth to a child – but the decision to live with a child seems impossible.
The St. Elisabethen Hospital supports women who wish or must keep their pregnancy secret and offers them the opportunity for a confidential or anonymous birth. This allows you to give birth to your child in a safe environment with medical help, without having to reveal your personal data.
If you carry yourself with the thought of a confidential or anonymous birth, we recommend that you contact a pregnant counselling centre as early as possible during pregnancy. Addresses of counselling centres can be found on the Internet at www.hilfetelefon-schwangere.de. Consultation and further information can also be obtained under the nationwide free hotline 0800 40 020.
If you wish to deliver confidentially or anonymously, you can also contact the St. Elisabethen Hospital directly. In this case, please do not mention your name, but use a pseudonym and do not give your insurance card, even if you are asked to do so. Instead, request contact with our social service. This will carry out the initial consultation and will initiate further steps in consultation with you and only with your express permission and establish the necessary contacts with the advisory centres and offices.
