Webinar: "Lifelong learning and well-being in old age: Why learning never stops – and how routines can help

Speaker: Psychologist Julia Heckmann-Umhau, University of Heidelberg

Learning keeps us mentally fit, strengthens self-confidence and contributes to an active, satisfied life in old age. But how can learning succeed if habits have become established? And what role do routines, curiosity and new experiences play for everyday well-being?

Julia Heckmann-Umhau from the University of Heidelberg shows how the brain remains flexible through lifelong learning, what research on neuroplasticity reveals and how learning routines can have a positive effect on health and joie de vivre. An inspiring lecture for everyone who wants to remain curious and develop their potential even in old age.
