International Conference on Lake Constance

19.5.2026

GesundSozial.digital, the health and social compass of the district of Lörrach, was awarded the 9th prize of the International Lake Constance Conference (IBK) for health promotion and prevention with the 2nd place in the category “Health 4.0”. The prize is endowed with 2,000 euros and is to be used for the further development of the platform and the expansion of digital accessibility.

For this year's IBK Prize, more than 150 projects from the Lake Constance were advertised in five categories. The award ceremony took place recently on the island of Lindau and offered an opportunity for professional exchange with other nominated projects from Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg, Austria, Liechtenstein and Switzerland.

With Gesund Sozial.digital, the district of Lörrach is pursuing the goal of providing citizens with barrier-free and reliable access to regional health, care and social services. The platform bundles information and offers on prevention, health, counselling, care and social support and makes them available in a multilingual and easy language. Especially people with reduced mobility, low health competence or little digital experience should be better reached.

“The award by the International Lake Constance Conference is a great recognition for the dedicated work in our project and shows that our approach is also perceived supra-regionally,” explains project manager Oli Lou Kramer. “The exchange with the other nominated initiatives also gave valuable impetus to further development. ‘

The IBK Prize honours innovative projects in the fields of health promotion, prevention and digital care in the Lake Constance. The aim is to make future-oriented approaches visible and to strengthen cooperation between the regions.

For Gesund Sozial.digital, it is already the third award within a year: in 2025, the project group of the Municipal Care Conference for the Promotion of the Digital Participation of Older Persons received the “Kommunal.Digital.Genial” award of the DigitalPakt Alter. At the beginning of 2026, the Alliance 52 Award “Healthy Commune” followed.

In parallel, the anchoring of the platform in the district is also progressing. More and more specialists, institutions and institutions from the health, nursing and social sectors are actively participating in Gesund Sozial.digital and use the platform for information, networking and forwarding. This is also reflected in continuously increasing usage figures and a growing range.
