Week of dementia
Events around the topic DEMENZ from 23 September to 23 October in the entire district of Lörrach
This year, the cooperation partners of the network have also created a diverse range of services that extend across the entire county. Invited are all who have a starting dementia, accompany a person concerned or are interested in this sensitive issue for other reasons.
The complete program with all dates and information can be found at: https://www.netzwerk-demenz-loerrach.de/current/
The Demenz network and its cooperation partners would like to take the topic of dementia into the population once more and to raise awareness. The aim is to find new ways and more understanding in dealing with each other. Those affected should be able to live in society (better) and members should receive advice and support as quickly and easily as possible.
In addition, the Demenz network would like to draw attention to a special offer during the dementia weeks. Free dementia training for professional groups is offered by the end of 2026:
Many activities, e.g. in retail, services, gastronomy, police, fire brigade, rescue service or in one of the many other professions, are constantly encountering people with dementia.
This can quickly lead to an overload and thus to an unpleasant experience on both sides. Our aim is to avoid this, through knowledge transfer and practical examples.
Thanks to the support of the Federal Government “Local Alliances” these courses can currently be offered free of charge. Inquiries for training shall be received by the coordinating body.
For any questions, the coordination office of the Dementia Network in the district of Lörrach is at your disposal. Contact: kontakt@netzwerk-demenz-loerrach.de or at 07625-9188370.
